Description
Willakenzie Animal Clinic is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our busy, 6-doctor practice in Eugene, Oregon. We currently have 5 CVT's on staff and are looking to add one more! We have recently upgraded to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility to serve the community.Experienced and New Grads encouraged to apply!
- Starting Salary: $25 - 28 per hour, depending on experience education, certifications and licensure
- Additional Benefits: Continuing education allowance of $600 per year, License reimbursement, Scrub allowance, Discounted Pet Care
- Location: 1745 Coburg Rd, Eugene, OR 97401
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 9 - 9.5 hours per day, rotating Saturday coverage (minimum 1/2 day once per month)

Who you are:
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) in Oregon required
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program required
- Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant in a veterinary clinical setting, minimum 2 years required
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint, Fear Free preferred
- Understand the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
- Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
- Perform basic exam procedures
- Skilled in venipuncture and Intravenous (IV) catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
- Able to perform digital radiology (X-ray) including positioning
- Perform complete dental procedures, including digital x-rays, scaling, polishing, charting
- Confident with general anesthesia and surgical assisting (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique, recovery)
- Perform medical math, accurately calculate, draw up and administer drugs
- Laboratory skills including microscope (ear and fecal cytology); automated in-house machines
- Excellent client communication/education
- Ability to perform Technician appointments independently, including accurate medical record documentation
