Description
Veterinary TechnicianWe are a three-doctor veterinary practice located in the Upper Westside/Smyrna/Buckhead corner of Atlanta, off of Moores Mill Road. We are looking to add a full-time Experienced Veterinary Technician to our team.
The ideal candidate must have previous veterinary experience, reliable transportation, be timely/early to shifts, be able to work Saturdays (8:45am - 1pm), have excellent client communication skills, have a positive attitude and outlook, possesses great team skills and have compassion and a love for animals. This candidate should be comfortable running rooms, taking history, collecting samples, administer medications as prescribed by the veterinarian, understand how to run in-house lab tests, and assist in surgery or any other procedures needed throughout the day.
Established in 1992, Treehouse Animal Clinic aims to provide owners with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. We strive to give our customers the best personalized service possible and to create a friendly, professional work environment for our awesome staff.
Qualifications
- Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
- Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
- Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
- Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
- Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
