Description

• Help our DVMs service ambulatory calls as well as outpatient appointments.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and protocols.
• Handle animal catheterization when necessary.
• Assist with diagnostic tests, including standing CT, X-rays, endoscopy and blood draws.
• Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
• Maintain equipment.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE veterinary technician license.
• Equine experience 2 years required
• Veterinary experience 1 year required
• Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary medicine.
• Ability to perform X-ray imaging.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
• Compassionate attitude towards animals with a strong commitment to their care.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to type while in a moving vehicle.
