BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant for our Radiology department .

Payband: $21.25 - $31.45/Hr

Schedule: This would be a full-time position with the hours of 9a - 7p, M, Tue, Thurs, and Friday (four 10-hour shifts). There is a rotating on-call expectation of 2 Saturdays/month on average with compensation.

Expected duties would include:

• Calmly and gently approach and handle our patients according to safety protocols and our core values
  
  • You will be expected to restrain patients for ultrasounds, radiographs, fluoroscopy, and other diagnostic imaging procedures as directed or as they arise.
• Identify abnormal pathology and notify the attending doctor
• Understand our hospital estimates & charges and can clearly present and explain them to our clients and/or team members
• Have patience and empathy to address patient needs balanced with Dr's/teams needs.
• Educate clients in the areas of Radiology and can provide exceptional care for our patients
• Prepare medications and our patients/clients for discharge as needed
• Support your Radiology team, and the hospital team as a whole, in all aspects of care for our patients
• Fear Free Handling experience is preferable but not a requirement
• Hands-Free Radiology experience is preferable but not a requirement
