Join the dedicated team at Fetch as a Veterinary Technician in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is family-owned veterinary hospital and we are seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our ICU team in Brandon, Florida. We are passionate about delivering high-quality and compassionate care to pets during their most critical moments. As a Veterinary Technician in this fast-paced environment, you will work closely with a talented team of emergency veterinarians and support team to provide urgent care to pets in need.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition in an emergency and critical care setting
- Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures, including triage, wound care, and life-saving interventions
- Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed by the veterinary team
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies required for emergency procedures
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood work and urinalysis
- Provide anesthesia monitoring for critical patients
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' conditions, treatments, and progress
- Support the team by keeping the workspace organized and well-stocked
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a high-energy environment
This is a full-time daytime position with 12 hour shifts, scheduled three days per week. Available shift options include:
- 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Shift Differentials:
Sunday - Thursday Night differential $4.00 (7:30p - 7:30a)
Friday/Saturday Night differential $6.00 (7:30p - 7:30a)
Saturday/Sunday Daytime differential $2.00 (7:30a - 7:30p)

Ideal Candidate
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT), preferred
- Previous experience in ICU is required.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical protocols and procedures
- Proficient in the administration of medications IV/SQ/IM/Transdermal
- Excellent technical skills and attention to detail
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
- Perform diagnostic procedures and laboratory tests
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Experience with Blood transfusion, NG Tube feeding, Chest Tube care, Oxygen cages and nasal oxygen cannulas is preferred
- Medical Math experience, including CRI math is preferred
