Oceanside Animal Hospital is expanding and redeveloping our surgery department. Enjoy work with FUN and INTERESTING cases? Wanting your weekends, holidays and nights OFF? Interested in being part of a growing team? Want to learn new skills with a knowledgeable and engaged team?
Oceanside Animal Hospital is looking for an upbeat, collaborative Veterinary Technician interested in working on our surgical department and on the floor in the urgent care and appointment departments. Duties include preparing patients for surgery, monitoring patients during surgery, cleaning and organizing surgical instruments, post-op monitoring, discharging patients, triaging cases, supporting the urgent care DVM in the room and in the treatment area with record keeping. client education, obtaining and running diagnostic samples, performing treatments and assisting with surgical patients where needed.

Requirements:
- 2+ years of prior veterinary experience (surgical experience preferred)
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Understand the importance of client education
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive and supportive team player
- Motivated to continue their education in the veterinary industry
