Veterinary TechnicianFull-time
Weekends Off
San Antonio Animal Hospital is actively looking for a full-time experienced veterinary technician to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate should be confident in proper animal handling and restraint, place IV catheter, run in-house lab equipment, able to collect samples, assist in surgery, room patients and do the initial work-up, understand the importance of a clean and organized animal clinic, work well with the technicians and veterinarian, communicate with our clients, have knowledge of industry tools and equipment used on a daily basis, have the motivation to want to learn new skills and advance in the veterinary industry and be a positive and supportive team player. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing and San Antonio Animal Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. If you are an experienced veterinary technician looking to take your skills to the next level, engage in the everyday reward of helping animals, and work with a great team then we can not wait to hear from you.
Requirements:
- 2+ years in the veterinary industry
- Knowledge of basic industry tools and equipment
- Avimark knowledge preferred, but not required
- Idexx knowledge preferred, but not required
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Believes in the importance of client education
- Compassionate toward our patients and clients
- Motivated to learn new skills
- Positive and supportive team player
