Allegheny Equine is looking for an experienced associate veterinarian to join our team. We are a six doctor practice located 18 miles east of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in the beautiful foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. Our state of the art facility, built in 2009, serves the diverse equine population of western Pennsylvania. We offer comprehensive medical, reproductive, sports medicine and wellness services. Equipment includes digital radiology, ultrasound and video endoscopy as well as Pro Stride, IRAP, PRP, lameness locator, shockwave, ocular tonometry, stallion collection and a complete in-house laboratory. We have one intern, an active externship program and participate in Ohio State SVM clerkship program.
We are looking for a veterinarian who is ready to practice high quality medicine in a collaborative environment. Veterinarians meet twice weekly to discuss case management and practice logistics. Ambulatory wellness is the foundation of our practice, but team members provide advanced medical care, sports medicine and reproductive services. Staff includes a veterinarian certified in chiropractic and acupuncture.
Compensation is based on production, and base salary will be determined with respect to experience. AAEP, AVMA and PVMA membership, health insurance, practice vehicle and minimum of two weeks annual vacation offered. Emergency coverage shared by veterinarians. Continuing education is a priority and expenses will be supported by clinic. Professional support staff, including evening technicians, support our mission.
