We look forward to welcoming a full-time, or part-time, veterinarian to our comfortably busy small animal practice. Our doctors work a 4 day week, with a half day every 3rd to 4th Saturday. The schedule is flexible, with time for vacations and continuing ed. We have a nearby emergency and referral center for after hours emergencies and daytime critical care. In joining our practice, you will have good QOL professionally, and time to enjoy your life outside of work. Salary and benefits are competitive.
The lifestyle in this area is great. We have a nice mix of suburban and rural life and activities. We have a university nearby, with many events, arts, restaurants, and shops in "the 'Burg". We are within 15-30 minutes to Fredericksburg and Culpeper, and are close to Washington, DC, Richmond, and Charlottesville. Lakes, rivers, mountains, hiking, biking, riding, shopping, etc. are right here, or very near. Housing costs are reasonable. Local commutes are easy.
We appreciate an interest/skill in any of the following: internal medicine, surgery, ultrasound, feline medicine, physical therapy, canine sports medicine, acupuncture, or holistic modalities. If you have an interest in pocket pets, birds, wildlife, or exotics we are open to adding other species to our practice. We work with the local shelters, the humane society, and rescues.
We have a great staff, patients and clients, and are much appreciated by the community. Our Idexx in-house and send-out lab, and Idexx digital x-ray, are all integrated with Cornerstone. We have digital dental x-ray and quality dental equipment. We also have a Class IV therapeutic laser, and ultrasound.
