We are seeking a fulltime or part time small animal veterinarian to join our 7 doctor mixed animal practice located in beautiful Northwest Washington 50 miles north of Seattle. We are a modern AAHA accredited practice and recently celebrated our centennial anniversary as part of this community. You will be joining a team of fun but dedicated individuals who provide high level medical, surgical and dental care to our patients as well as excellent customer service to our clients. Check us out at our website – www.nwvetstanwood.com – and see the services we provide and the longevity of our team members. Although Northwest Veterinary Clinic is 102 years young, we are a vibrant, growing practice. Our clinic has recently undergone a major remodel which has improved patient care and flow and increased our ability to serve more patients. Although this position is for a small animal veterinarian, you will be part of an environment where it is not unusual to see one of the other doctors treating a doe brought in with dystocia or a kangaroo with an abscessed tooth. From cats to cows we are truly a mixed animal practice. One of our goals is to bring someone on board who can add additional services like acupuncture and/or chiro. Alternatively, we would like to expand our surgical expertise especially in the area of orthopedics.
We also have two other hospitals nearby which are staffed by 7 DVMs and 24 support staff. One is strictly a small animal facility and the other is primarily an equine hospital with a newly established small animal department. So you will also have the ability to consult on cases with these experienced doctors if desired.
You will have access to a wide variety of diagnostic equipment ranging from digital radiology to digital ultrasound, tonometer to endoscope, and digital dental radiography to a full suite of in-house Abaxis lab equipment. New graduates are welcome to apply as well as experienced veterinarians. We have an on boarding process that incorporates key team members who will smooth the transition onto our team. Ideally, you will be able to offer high level medical care, communicate well with both patients and the pet owner, be self-motivated, and be outgoing and friendly. Interaction and involvement with the community is also an important part of this position.
Salary is based on a ProSal model with a base. Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, paid vacation/sick leave/CE time, 401K, professional dues, CE stipend, professional attire allowance, and licensing fees. There is no emergency coverage as we refer our clients to one of several nearby emergency facilities. You will appreciate the emphasis we place on integrating work with life. Ownership is a definite possibility for the right individual. So, if this sounds like the place for you, please send a cover letter and current resume to Dr. Daniel Haskins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
