Privately owned small animal/exotic veterinary hospital on Eastern Long Island is looking for 2 veterinarians comfortable with routine surgery. We are looking for dedicated individuals with good communication skills who are eager to provide quality medicine.
We have digital radiography, ultrasonography, and an in-house blood analyzer as well as a well-trained support staff to assist our veterinarians. In addition to the in-house ultrasound machine, we have an ultrasonographer who comes in once to twice a week for more complicated cases. We use eVet radiology services for radiographic consultations.
In addition to conventional medicine, our office offers acupuncture and herbal therapy. We can provide continuing education courses for those applicants who are not familiar with Eastern modalities and want to learn more. Due to our use of alternative modalities,we have a variety of cases so you will have ample opportunity to apply the skills you learned at veterianry school. It is not all vaccines and ear infections at our clinic!
Applicants must be willing to work one weekend day. After hours emergencies are handled by emergency clinics. Benefits include coverage of professional liability insurance and NYSVMS and LIVMA dues. Health insurance and dental plans are available. We have profit sharing and 401k plans.
Long Island is a great place to raise a family. We are located close to beaches, golf courses, parks, local theaters, and a great aquarium. For baseball fans, we have a local minor league team that actually wins! Close to NYC and a short ferry trip takes you to Connecticut.
A veterinary degree and NYS license to practice veterinary medicine

We are a privately owned small animal and exotic practice located on Eastern Long Island. In addition to preventative care, diagnostics, surgery and western medicine, we also offer acupuncture and herbal medicine. We are regarded as a referral practice by some due to our alternative medicine services so we have a very heavy internal medicine caseload.
We have a well-trained support staff with multiple licensed veterinary technicians on for all shifts.
