The Practice Manager plays a vital role in the hospital, managing day-to-day operations, so the medical team can devote their time to delivering the highest quality veterinary care. Essential Job Duties: Lead and support a skilled medical team. Maintain and grow an exceptional customer experience. Utilize robust financial operational skills to identify areas of opportunity, and drive appropriate change, to obtain desired results.
Manage and report payroll data.
Assist team members in work schedule management. Manage costs within budget. Identify and recruit talent when additional team members are needed, and can be justified within budget. Bring a confident leadership presence to the medical team and clients. Help orchestrate direction and productivity of our fast-paced veterinary practice. Oversee all hospital operations. Facilitate plans and programs to track clinic performance. Promote effective communication within the hospital. Lead, motivate, influence, empower, and mentor direct reports. Convey business needs to practice owner and to team members in a clear, concise and effective manner. Make solid, appropriate decisions, that positively impact people, pets, quality of service, and the business. Effectively mentor diverse groups of employees. Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a fluid management style. Consistently drive business results, through effective leadership. Foster an engaging team environment. Demonstrate confidence around pets, and the ability to help team as needed.
Position Details: Full-time position. Must be willing and able to work weekends. Typical work week is 40-45 hours per week. Because of the nature of the veterinary industry, longer hours are likely from time to time. Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Two years experience in a veterinary or medical practice managerial position preferred. Additional experience in Human Resources management or business management desirable.
