Animal Place Veterinary Hospital is a small animal clinic in the Silver Spring/Aspen Hill area of Maryland. Established over 21 years ago, it is privately owned and each veterinarian is respected for the way they want to practice. We believe in good medicine and we work hard to provide that for our clients and their pets. We were fear free before it became a catch word! Fully computerized and digital, you can read the records. Dental radiographs are a standard of care for us with each dental patient getting full mouth radiographs each time. There are several 24 hour clinics and speciality clinics close by and we use them. Sick patients are not left overnight in cages--and we do not board animals either! So, when you walk out at 6 pm and turn off the lights, you don't have to worry about anyone in the clinic. Working as a team, we utilize our staff to the fullest of their ability and the staff always has the doctors' back. Most of the staff has been there for at least 3 years, some closer to 18--so longivity is desired. The schedule requires 38 to 43 hours a week--one day off every week as well as every other Saturday off. Rarely are we working after hours and our day ends at 6 pm. The schedule allows time for you to get outside and have a life out of the clinic! Ideally, our associate will enjoy a mixture of things--surgery, dental procedures and seeing sick and well patients. We are a Idexx practice, with Cornerstone software, DR radiographs and the full Idexx blood analysis system--CBC, Chemistry and Urinalysis. We still send in a fair amount of blood and all our fecals to the lab. Our dental radiographs are the only thing different--as it does not "talk" with Cornerstone, but we have the Sopix Dental Radiographs. We have all the things you will need to practice--and if we don't have something, ask.....you never know if you have an interest and abilty to use it we may get it for you! We will consider a part timer--but we are so much fun you will want to work full time and share in the fun! |
