An immediate full or part time position of veterinarian is available at Payton Animal Hospital located in Blakely, Georgia. This is a well-established and well-equipped mixed practice (90% small animal, 10% large animal consisting of bovine, equine, and small ruminants). There is a flexible and shared on call schedule in order to serve the needs of our patients on evenings and weekends. Salary is negotiable based on experience. A full benefits package includes 2 week paid vacation, personal leave, sick leave, bonus incentives, CE package, health insurance, liability insurance, and professional dues and license fees. This area also qualifies for the USDA student loan repayment program concerning the shortage of rural veterinarians. This rural area of Southwest Georgia abounds with wonderful hunting and fishing opportunities, is only thirty minutes away from the city of Dothan, Alabama, and is two hours from Panama City Beach, Florida. Requirements include being able to diagnose and treat diseases of dogs and cats and perform surgery (mostly spays and neuters) of dogs and cats. Large animal work is minimal, but it can be learned if you are interested.
