We are looking for an energetic veterinarian who strives to practice high quality small animal medicine. This AAHA-certified and AAFP Feline Friendly practice includes a 2,000 sq. ft luxury pet resort within our 6,000 sq. ft. facility. Located in beautiful Tallahassee, FL, our clinic has a superb clientele who expect the best veterinary care possible for their pets. Equipment (I.e. toys!) includes Cornerstone paperless record keeping system, digital radiography, Idexx suite of in-house laboratory equipment including coagulation profile, CBC, Chemistry, and urinalysis analyzers, Philips ultrasound, ultrasonic dental unit with high speed hand piece, digital dental radiogrpahy, and Cardell anesthetic monitoring.
Southwood Animal Hospital is located near an elite housing development (Southwood) which is home to approximately 8,000 families and young professionals. Our goal is to provide the area with high quality veterinary care in a comfortable, modern setting for clients and pets. We also strive to provide a low-stress experience for our canine and feline patients. We have a good mix of certified veterinary technicians and experienced veterinary assistants who are trained in low-stess handling techniques. Our sister clinic across town (Northwood Animal Hospital/PETS Emergency) provides emergency and overnight care to our patients as needed. Occasional on-call weekends there will be required.
Southwood Animal Hospital focuses on canine and feline general practice. We have 3 full time and 3 part time doctors on staff. We do see some exotics and and would love to expand this area with the right associate. We enjoy providing mentorship for new graduates to help them reach their practice goals in medicine, surgery and dentistry to become the well-rounded doctor that they have always wanted to be.
