Do you feel appreciated in your current position? Do you leave work every day feeling dejected or exuberant? Veterinarians at Lap of Love truly make a difference in the lives of countless pets and the people who love them by helping them pass with dignity in their own home. Team members thrive in our positive, encouraging work culture. Most of all, doctors find deep satisfaction in the appreciation they receive from clients who cherish the profound service we provide their pets and their family.
We are looking for compassionate, adaptable doctors nationwide who easily connect with people and enjoy the freedom of not being tied down to an office.
Aside from the work we do with our clients, the happiness of our team is one of our highest priorities and since the beginning, our culture has been focused on making sure all of our people feel like part of an extended family. We take great pride in the amazing family we have grown over the years.
To this end, we have some values that we wanted to share that we look for when adding to our family.
We deliver a consistent and reliable experience for our families
We are adaptable to the needs of our families, one size doesn’t quite fit all when it comes to end-of-life care.
We are purpose driven to give pets and families the best experience as they part ways for the last time.
We are willing to go above and beyond for our families when they need us most because we understand that we only get one shot at this.
We are here to help others.
We are humble, non-judgmental, and compassionate in our interactions with those around us.
We are mindful of ourselves and others.
We are professional in our work and complete our tasks independently but are also willing to offer a helping hand.
If these things resonate with you, then there’s a really good chance we’ll get on well together.
Your role as a Lap of Love Veterinarian will involve many tasks including:
Providing in-home euthanasia services to patients across your region.
Offering advice and hospice care to geriatric and terminally ill pets.
Assisting families with quality of life decisions.
Visiting clinics to spread the word about what we do and foster strong bonds with our referring practices.
These tasks will require a few things from you in order to be able to complete them successfully:
This is quite a physical job which will require you to lift weights up to 40lbs unassisted.
You will be driving, so a valid driver's license and a well-organized vehicle (CUV or SUV) capable of safely transporting pets for aftercare is essential.
Availability, our full-time doctors are available 5 days a week to help families from 9 am until 8 pm but don't worry, that doesn't mean you are working 11 hours straight. Every day is different so some days you may help 0-1 families and other days may be 4-5 families. Our Support Center is available to speak with our families 365 days a year from 7 am until 11 pm.
Working knowledge of technology including, smartphones, tablets/computers, GPS, etc.
Most importantly, you must have compassion and empathy for pets and the people that love them.
