Small Animal Predominant , Mixed Animal Practice. Two available veterinarian positions!!
-30 minutes, allowing for thorough exams, in-depth client consultation, case collaboration with colleagues, and mentor-ship. We are a slower paced, mixed animal, veterinary hospital in Kingman, Arizona.
- Caseload is 90% K9/feline, 9% equine and 1% miscellaneous barnyard mammals. We serve a population density of about 40,000 local residents.
-Excellent client and staff communications skills. Small animal skills are paramount, however Livestock and Equine interests (though not mandatory), would certainly be helpful and welcome to our practice.
-Kingman sits in a desert mountain valley at 3300 feet elevation, whose location, moderate climate, nearby lakes, desert, and mountains provide endless, year round outdoor recreation opportunities. Kingman's historic downtown district has undergone considerable renovations and hosts cultural activities and a bustling nightlife. Reasonable home prices and super low tax rates, makes for a very affordable cost of living. Our area is one of the fastest growing areas in the USA, and recently elected as one of the “nicest places” to live by Reader's Digest magazine!!
-Our practice has very little turnover with a well seasoned and experienced staff. You will find it adequately equipped with a surgical laser, DR radiology, complete in-house Idexx laboratory equipment, Impromed operating system, fiber-optic endoscope, diagnostic ultrasound, etc...
-Full time schedule is 4 days/week. Part time schedule can be negotiated . A reasonable After Hours “On Call” schedule is shared on a rotational basis with 4 other hospitals, to enhance a quality work- life balance. Call schedule is one weekend every 2nd month, and one week night every 2nd week.
-Current compensation package for full time and experienced practitioners is as follows:
Commission, based pre–tax wage is approximately $125,000/year
14 Paid Days Off/year can be used for vacation, sick leave, personal days or CE
$1200 annual CE allowance
Arizona and DEA license reimbursement

Small animal skills and experience needed as the practice is 90% feline and canine.
Equine experience would be helpful, ( but not mandatory) as 9% of the practice is equine. Passionate horse interests could make up 30% of that particular associate's caseload.
