Be part of the future of Veterinary Medicine in Utah Valley! A Caring Veterinary Management Group is a busy, growing, compassionate, Bond oriented, 2 location veterinary practice that strives to provide the best medical, dental, behavioral and surgical care possible in a stress and fear free environment for staff, clients and pets. We work hard to build, and maintain, our relationships with clients and their pets, as well as our team members. We treat dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, rabbits, rodents, reptiles, hedgehogs, sugar gliders and occasional wildlife, however applicants do not need to be interested in working with non-traditional species.
We need an associate veterinarian (part time or full time) to become part or our collaborative team of 4 full time veterinarians and 1 part time associate. Our hospitals are equipped with digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, electro-surgery, cold laser, in-house lab testing for avian, reptile and mammal species, as well as highly trained and experienced support staff. Current salaries for our DVM's range between $120,000 and just over $160,000/year based on individual revenue produced from services rendered. Benefits include all licensing fees, UVMA, AVMA and VIN membership, 401k with matching, and CE costs, not to mention our group health insurance plan.
Applicants need to enjoy collaborating in providing an excellent level of professional medical care, and to push the boundaries of excellence forward, while overseeing both inpatient and outpatient care, working hand in hand with support staff. Excellent inter-personal skills including leadership experience, along with a desire and ability to deal with clients and staff in a sensitive, tactful and professional manner regardless of circumstances will be needed. Excellent, intuitive animal handling and relating skills that will allow the applicant to allay patient fears and anxiety will also be helpful.
The successful applicant will be required to interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, tactful and professional manner while directing out outpatient and inpatient care as well as to perform routine surgeries and anesthesia from ovariohysterectomy and orchiectomy to laceration repair and wound management, in addition to dental care including radiography and extractions. A special interest in canine and feline behavior, surgery, or internal medicine will be supported and encouraged.
A DVM Degree from an AVMA accredited school is required, as well as a license to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of Utah. Utah State requires new graduate veterinarians to complete a 6 month ‘internship’ prior to full licensure. Our practice owner has helped 3 new graduate veterinarians through this growth period in the past 15 years.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
Additional Salary Information: Full or part time work, with flexible scheduling, is possible but the salary ranges given assume 4-5 days worked weekly.
About A Caring Veterinary Medical Group
A Caring Vet Hospital opened its doors in January 2011 and has been growing ever since as we have striven to live up to our name. In 2019 we acquired our 2nd location and changed our name to A Caring Veterinary Medical Group. Our future plans include AAHA accreditation (including Fear Free certification) as we expand our facilities in the next few years. After that we will continue pushing forward to provide the best possible care for pets of all sort of shapes, sizes, colors and species. We recognize a veterinary hospital is not defined by the building it is in, but by the caring people who work there. We focus on training our staff, and maintaining our staff relationships with a welcoming, fun-loving, flexible environment for staff, clients, and patients. We also recognize a comfortable balance between work and life allows everyone to do their best in both work, and life.
