BluePearl Pet Hospital in Rockville, MD is now hiring for a professional, customer-service oriented Referral Coordinator to join our team!

A Referral Coordinator ensures the effective, client focused, management of all referrals for the assigned our Specialty Departments. As a Veterinary Referral Coordinator, you will serve as the primary point of contact for referred clients managing their referral from originating appointment through close of case.

Schedule: Week days, 4x10 hour shifts

Pay: $25.40 - $33.50 / hour

This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

As a BluePearl Veterinary Referral Coordinator:

• You schedule new appointments for the assigned specialty ensuring DVM(s) have record of new appointments.
• You resolve any case-related concerns prior to appointment.
• You maintain assigned specialty service(s) email and follows departmental email triage procedures.
• You gather pertinent information to ensure client understands financial obligations.
• You act as primary point of contact for clients and potential clients in their assigned specialty service(s).
• You perform post-procedural and post-surgical phone call follow up with clients.
• You receive, process and fill prescription requests, with DVM approval, for assigned specialty services(s)
• You work with primary DVMs regarding requests and routine questions.
• You provide primary care DVMs bloodwork/test results to keep them informed regarding referred clients.
• You ensure necessary communication regarding treatment is provided timely and documented appropriately.
• You provide support to clinical staff in order to facilitate the administrative components of clinical referrals for various services.
